Walter K. Lierman, Ph.D., earned a doctorate in Economics
from the University of Arizona. Dr. Lierman's career in forensic
economics, litigation support, economic analysis and consulting
spans more than 15 years. In that time, he has produced hundreds
of economic damage reports, has evaluated opposing experts' reports,
and has provided expert testimony in both Federal and state courts.
Dr. Lierman also co-authored the book Economics and Safety for
the Trucking Industry with noted commercial trucking accident
expert, Don Asa.
Dr. Lierman also serves as an adjunct professor in the Business
department at Marylhurst University teaching environmental and resource
economics in the MBA program in Sustainability. In addition, Dr.
Lierman also develops econometric models, with applications in business
analysis and forecasting and statistical analysis using SAS software.
In earlier research, he developed large mathematical programming
models with applications in solar energy and groundwater conservation.
A. E. Rodriguez, Ph.D., earned a doctorate in Economics from
the University of Texas. Dr. Rodriguezs experience in litigation
support spans more than 18 years. His work is extensive, ranging from
determining business and commercial damages, statistical analysis
of discrimination, antitrust liability and damages, franchises, non-competes,
He is a professor in the department of Economics and Finance at the
University of New Haven. Besides advising graduate students in the
MBA program, Dr. Rodriguez pursues an ambitious research agenda with
much of his work dealing with questions involving empirical economic
Dr. Rodriguez has several years of Big-5 consulting experience with
KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, bringing substantial experience in
the fields of econometric and statistical analysis, detailed commercial
business valuations, antitrust, and statistical analysis of discrimination.
Dr. Rodriguez is a former Federal Trade Commission staff Economist.
Dr. Rodriguez serves as an economic consultant to several foreign
governments and multinational agencies, most recently in Ethiopia,
Mozambique, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic on issues of competition,
trade and economic growth; multilateral agencies include the World
Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the U.S. Agency for International
